We have had a wonderful summer celebrating two outstanding awards for the Virginia Beach Parks + Recreation Administration Building (VBP+R). The project was recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council Virginia (USGBC VA) and the Virginia Beach Planning Commission for its sustainable design.
USGBC VA Leadership Awards
Hosted virtually this summer, the USGBC VA held the 2020 Leadership Awards to honor Virginia building owners and project teams for their extra effort to accomplish LEED certification and to celebrate the local leaders working to create a healthier, more sustainable and resilient future. We are proud to have been awarded the 2020 Leadership Award for Virginia Environments for the work performed on VBP+R’s new administration building. The Leadership Award for Virginia Environments is awarded to a project that is LEED Certified and demonstrates unique design solutions to address the particular climate and site concerns of building in Virginia including environmentally responsible landscaping techniques. A strong collaborative relationship with a forward-thinking client such as VBP+R and our talented array of consultants is ultimately what led to this outstanding achievement.
