We are thrilled that VIA’s home at The Essex has earned EarthCraft Platinum Certification! We couldn’t be more proud of our in-house design team, engineering partners, technology partners, and contractor for supporting this achievement.
EarthCraft Sustainable Preservation (ECSP) is a green building certification program created specifically for historic buildings in the US Southeast. Unlike other green building certifications, ECSP is dovetailed to the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Standards and Guidelines to more appropriately address the challenges and opportunities of renovating a historic building. Critically, the program helps Owners and project teams identify the right sustainable design choices for the project while maintaining compliance with the Historic Tax Credit program. Projects receive a technical advisor for the duration of the project to help the team identify custom solutions for the project and further guide the team through the certification process. . ECSP is intended for historic building projects sized 50,000 square feet or less, however, all projects may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Through our teams experience and leadership on the project, VIA is prepared to help you in your pursuit of a sustainable historic (or non-historic) building renovation.
