VIA design spearheaded the planning and design for Child Development Resources’ (CDR) new consolidated facility. Our team collaborated closely with CDR leadership to assess the feasibility of merging operations into a single location, eventually landing at a facility at 312 Waller Mill Road. This involved extensive program analysis of their Administration, Children’s Services, and Training functions. We then partnered with the Executive Director to meticulously plan space requirements, considering not only current needs but also projected staff growth.
Recognizing budget limitations, VIA proposed a phased construction strategy. This prioritizes renovating the existing building to address immediate needs while preparing the site for a future expansion. This allows CDR to complete essential upgrades now and lay the groundwork for a larger facility when additional funding becomes available.
This project exemplifies VIA design’s expertise in strategic planning, space optimization, and phased construction approaches to deliver successful solutions that cater to both current and future needs.
