Community-Driven
At VIA, our vision extends far beyond individual clients; we’re driven by a deep-seated passion for making a positive impact on the broader community. This commitment is reflected in our deliberate choice to partner with clients who share our dedication to community upliftment, whether it’s schools, redevelopment housing initiatives, or local animal shelters. Through these partnerships, we aim to not only create transformative projects but also to uplift and empower the communities they serve. That being said, our commitment to community goes even deeper than the projects we undertake. It’s woven into the fabric of who we are as a firm. Our principals and staff are also actively involved in our community’s growth and development, contributing through organizational memberships, board service, and hands-on volunteering opportunities.
JUST 2.0
VIA is the first architectural firm in Virginia to produce a JUST 2.0 Label. The JUST Label program is an extension of the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) and is a voluntary operational transparency tool for organizations. The label has been graphically designed as a nutritional label to rate the scale of each reporting organization’s commitment to the policies presented by ILFI. VIA went through a self-initiated organizational audit to create a baseline of where our policies previously stood.
This audit provided VIA’s leadership the opportunity to sit down and analyze a number of company policies that had been in place for many years. Through this exercise, VIA was successful in adding new initiatives and updated policies to our day-to-day professional values. VIA is excited to continue the conversation about our policies with employees, recruitment candidates, current, and future clients. We will strive to keep “raising the bar” by doing more frequent policy audits and always striving to do the right thing with everyone we partner with.
VIA is proud to showcase our renewed JUST 2.0 Label here. This label can also be found on the publicly viewable database hosted on the ILFI website.
