Client-Centric

At VIA, client-centric design isn’t just a philosophy; it’s the cornerstone of everything we do. From the moment we embark on a new project, our focus remains unwaveringly on client satisfaction. We believe that a successful project is the result of a strong partnership between our clients and our design team. Our collaborative + holistic approach, which includes a series of interactive workshops, involves open communication, active listening, and a shared commitment to achieving the unique vision of each client. VIA brings a rich history of thoughtful design solutions that allows us to guide our clients from the earliest stages of ideation and transform their ideas into reality, creating a place where people want to be and come back to.

Below are a few examples of our client-centric work:

VIRGINIA BEACH PARKS + RECREATION DEPARTMENT HEADQUARTERS

From the outset, our goal with VB P+R was clear: to weave the department’s core mission of promoting healthy lifestyles and environmental stewardship into every aspect of the building’s design. This wasn’t just about creating a functional space; it was about crafting an environment that embodied the very essence of the department’s work.

“VIA conducted a four hour workshop with our director and administrators, which allowed them to begin to understand our complex building program needs. This workshop was probably the most valuable working exercise throughout the entire design process, which revealed that…our culture should also shift to a more “open” and “collaborative” work environment. This obviously provided an additional layer of delicate communication required in shifting a work culture; however, VIA did an outstanding job advising how to communicate this to our team members.”

ALLAN MYERS CHESAPEAKE OFFICE

Another example of client centric design is in the transformation of the Allan Myers Chesapeake office. VIA faced the challenge of aligning the space with the company’s culture of excellence while addressing its outdated design and lack of natural light.

“We pride ourselves on building long-lasting and successful relationships as we consistently pursue excellence across all aspects of our business. It was immediately apparent that VIA shares these same core values, and they made every effort to understand our company’s goals from day one. ”
